The channel is not the social network, but the people who use it.The channel is not the social network, but the people who use it.

People who Tweet make up Twitter. When an issue trends in a community of interest there is no need for an organisational structure on Twitter (or other social networks) to support the communication. The community will determine if the story is ‘first’ to get its attention by using filters and lists or selecting who the members follow.

I’ve been invited to join what promises to be a lively and considered debate about women, social media and influence.
A friend– a woman– asked me if there was a clear theme that would unite the combination of the subjects; women, social media and influence. I expect interpretation of the theme will trigger some differing opinions.
